Just don't wire them together like the Digitrax instruction say - it's not a great way.

I bought 10 male and 10 female 2.1mm plugs. My plan was to use a wall wart I have that is variable voltage. I plan to set it to 12-15V. The wires screw onto the plugs and I planned just to chain them together. Every UP5 will get both a negative and positive feed.

Follow-up: I got the 2.1mm plugs today and powered the UP5s with a wall wart. All three UP5s have a crisp 14.0 volts.
