Something tells me that this thread is going to quickly spiral out of control.

Buying directly from a model railroading manufacturer and accepting pop up ads are two totally different things IMHO. The pop up ads are an unnecessary annoyance. Keeping the manufacturers in business is not.
For what it's worth, I would gladly pay for a pop up free MR website.
Cheers!!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Ok, Carl, if that is where you want to go.
bearman Oh, man, let's not go there again.

Sorry, but I have a hard time letting hypocrisy go unchallenged.
I have the right to remain silent. By posting here I have given up that right and accept that anything I say can and will be used as evidence to critique me.
hon30critterYes. It's called supporting the model railroad industry.

Before you build a glass house you should probably put down that stone. :)
I am sure they do know how to wire in parallel but I am still leery about using that panel. And who does the warranty if the panel or the commend station booster fails?
gregcis there any reason the $8 6P6C breakout board couldn't be used instead of the $20 UTP?
Yes. It's called supporting the model railroad industry.
The one on the left is from Ebay China. Since my Iphone and computer were built there, I'll bet they know how to wire in parallel.
I'm going to call my buddy Don and slap a $10 tariff on it.

Who is the manufacturer? And also consider if any warranty may be void by using a non-recommended part and something goes wrong.
while i know many of you wouldn't dare consider using anything but recommended parts, is there any reason the $8 6P6C breakout board couldn't be used instead of the $20 UTP?
