I run dcc engines on dc power pack would this power pack be ok with a dcc engine:
Thank you
The engine will have "erratic and unreliable operation."
Run DCC with a DCC system as intended.

If you have a Rapido locomotive, they specifically tell you not to use that exact power pack, they go a further step to say that if your locomotive decoder is damaged by using that DC power pack, they will not replace the decoder.
Pulse power is known to confuse decoders. Do not do it as was mentioned. This has been mentioned in a number of forums and the company instructions.
When you get a DC only power pack, you will have to turn the pack up higher than with a DC only loco. The decoder require about five volts to just wake up and maybe a couple more volts for the loco to begin to move. Nature of the beast.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

That's only for DCC / sound equipped engines. Non-sound decoders work as if the decoder wasn't even there on DC. As mentioned though - pulse power should not be used with any decoder.
