TrainClap 2000 for DCC?
Posted by jjdamnit on Thursday, March 9, 2017 12:30 PM

Hello all,

Great to see that Trainovations4you have upgraded their product to DCC.

I remember a few years back, at a train show, a vendor had the original TrainClap 1000.

As I recall the device was inline between the DC cab and the track.

A single clap raised the DC voltage by 10% until the max output of the throttle setting was achieved.

Single claps would then retard the voltage to by 10% back to 0%.

Double claps would reverse the polarity with single claps again advanced the throttle by 10%.

When the crowd saw this device in action the applause caused the train to act erratically and string-line on the curve!

Hope this helps. Wink

Post Script: Back at ya’ Neil!

"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
