Powering LEDs
Posted by beezer on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 10:37 PM

I purchased Nano Chip Leds (5 of them)- a product from Evan Designs - looks pretty straightforward - they are assembled with Resistors, Bridge Rectifiers and connector wires. Input voltage:7-19 Volts. Package says"only draw 20 milliamps". Do I just hook them up (in parallel) to the 18 volt accessory output on my powerpack? Thanks in advance for any help in adding some pizazz to my Christmas layout.

Sounds pretty straight forward to me too. If you hook them up directly to the power pack they will be on all the time but that probably isn't an issue with your Christmas display. You do definitely want the five of them wired in parallel.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
