Bachmann 2 and 4 pin connectors
Posted by mkepler954 on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 10:38 PM

Any idea where I can get the 2 & 4 pin female connectors going from the tender to a 2-6-6-2 Spectrum loco?  I've emailed and called Bachmann several times but never got a response.  Googling was fruitless too.

From what I have read and heard, Bachmann refuses to sell those connectors and insists that models be sent to them for repair.

The connectors are no doubt an industry standard Molex that should be available from a major electronics supplier such as Mouser Electronics in Mansfield, Texas, IF you can determine the exact pin spacing and dimensions so you can look it up in their catalog.  But you will also need a special crimping tool and the contact pins that go into the connector.

Tender chassis with plugs.

A few years ago I bought the pair of connectors for my Bachmann Richmond 4-4-0. Not sure the pair are sold separately.

I have a couple catalogs of many plugs but was never able to match them.

There is a set of forums and one forum for HO scale plus a couple Bachmann reps there. Join the forums and ask.
