MTH GP-35 diesel proto Sound 3 decoder
Posted by Steel Man on Monday, February 24, 2014 12:28 PM

I just purchased my first MTH engine and decoder which was factory installed.

Bmy first MTH I have a few questions I need help with:

the maximum speed is way to fast, can I simply change CV 5 to lower it? If so I don't see the acceptable values. Typically they are between 0-255 but I want to make sure before I monkey with it.

Momentum. What CV do you use and what are the acceptable values?

Can you change the Horn,Bell or lighting sequence? I don't see options in the instructions.

Thanks in advance for your help

Gary

You need to refer to the MTH documentation because they are a proprietary system that does not comply with NMRA DCC Standards and Recommended Practices on CV assignments or functions.

They are set so that the speed step is MPH. So speed step 50 = 50smph. Run them in 128 speed step mode so the jumps aren't so great.
