Circuit breakers
Posted by engineAL on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 5:08 PM

I have another question about wiring for my layout. I am using the NCE PowerCab. My track plan is below (thanks Paul!). I am planning to insulate the two tracks of the wye that lead to the interchange and connect an auto reverser to the whole interchange, so the double loop will be isolated from the interchange. I have heard that the PSX-AR works well with the PowerCab, so if I use that the interchange will have a circuit breaker. Should I install a circuit breaker for the double loop as well? I am not planning to have blocks and will be operating it mostly by myself. Is there a circuit breaker you recommend for the PowerCab if I need one? Thanks in advance.

For a lone operator with only one cab then a breaker would not be needed. The overload breaker in the Power cab is very good and should be fine.
