14 speed steps?

14 speed steps?

bought a new atlas sd60m today it has a digitrax dn147a already installed but it seems to be set to 14 speed step mode how do i change this i checked the manual and it does support 28/128 steps?

Looks like default value for CV 29 should have been 6.  Looks like you want it set to 34 unless you want engine to be capable of running on DC.  If you want to run dual mode, looks like value in CV 29 should be 38.

Please check the table to see that the value in CV29 does what you want the engine to do. (and that I haven't given you the wrong number!!)

i have resolved the speed step issue but the locomotive is running only periodically and the light however stay on consistently maybe the motor tabs making poor contact ?
