The official word on MRC Black Box and BLI Blueline

The MRC Black box is a single address DCC system.
It will only run engine #3.
The Blueline engines will run with the Black Box, AS LONG AS THERE IS A DCC DECODER INSTALLED.
The Black Box can reprogram any engine to #3 by pressing
F, 9, 9. Unfortunately, this only works with Blueline software Version 7 or later.
So, for older Blueline engines as long as there is a decoder installed and the engine is not changed from its default address #3, it will work.
For newer engines as long as there is a decoder installed , if it is programmed to something other than #3, you can hit F,9,9 and reprogram to #3, then cycle the power and it will run.
