The Digitrax trasponding?
Posted by steamfreightboy on Sunday, June 15, 2008 10:37 AM

I read about digitrax making a thing that tracks your locomotives. I checked the digitrax site and found the digitrax transponding. Has anyone heard of it or used it?

I have a NCE PowerCab, has anyone set the trasponding up with it?

Thanks.

Transponding is a Digitrax thing.  You either have to have a Digitrax decoder that has transponding built in of one of the transponder 'add-on' units in the engine.  You also need to set up 'zones' with the receiver in the zone.  I am not aware of anyone else licensing this Digitrax feature at this time.  Several other manufacturers & the NMRA have been working on a 'Bi-Directional' communications feature...
