hello all, i just purchased a proto 1k dl109, awesome loco, was wondering how long these units were in service after ww2?  it is lettered for the new york, new haven, & hartford.  any info would be appreciated, but specifically if they were used mostly for freight or passenger service post 1946. thank you in advance for responses.

The LL P1k units represent a DER-1a Class New Haven DL-109, numbered 0700-0709. They were inservice 1941-1958 or so.

In the configuration of the Life-Like unit, it would be good for 1941 through post WWII -- after that, they were rebuilt with a different roof configuration, and side screens instead of windows..

They were dual service... Freight or passenger, run it as you please, the New Haven did...
