Looking for information and or pictures on C&PA. Have a copy of Pietrak's book, but I understand there is a new edition. Want pictures of the yard, especially the roundhouse.

Alan,
Don't know where you live, but the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in Strasburg, PA, has an 1890s C&PA snow plow. If you don't live close enough to photograph it yourself, perhaps they have some photos in their gift/book store. Unfortunately, I haven't taken any photos of it when I've stopped there. Also, the Strasburg RR gift shop which is right across the street has a fairly extensive collection of RR books and periodicals. Perhaps they have something of interest online. Watch out for the horse drawn buggies. Good luck.

According to Official Guide from 1967 it is from Newfield Junction, PA, where it connects to the Wellsville, Addison & Galeton Railroad Corporation, to Port Allegheny, PA; a distance of approximately 16 miles. Although there is no mention of the entire length, just a...educated (?)... guess?. The WA&G RRCo. connects with the Erie Lackawanna at Wellsville, NY and also at Addison, NY, and the New York Central RR at Ansonia, PA. The general direction of the C&PA RR is East-West, again an approximation.
There is probably information here you already knew and more info than you wanted.
If you would like I could make a scan of the page and send it to you. Just email me at colin1542003@yahoo.com or to the one listed. Good luck on your quest!

Alan,
As
emdgp92 noted in a posting on the Aliquipa, there are some photos of the Coudersport station at the Fallen Flags site. The URL is: <http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/misc-c/misc-c.html> Hope this helps.
