Braden,

I did a search on Google for the YVRR and got a number of hits. Here's a specific link that may be helpful:

http://www.yosemitevalleyrr.com

Looks like it talks about the history of it, too.

Get Trains to Yosemite by Jack A. Burgess, Signature Press c2004

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

Addendum to previous post - Jack Burgess models the YVRR and his work has been featured in MR on numerous occasions. Every time, he has left me inspired by his prototype knowledge and his modeling skill.

I saw somewhere on tv 3 years ago that the us interior department, state of california, and a private party were talking about rebuilding all of the old yosemite valley railroad in order to cut down on horrendous amount of vehicles going into yosemite park. would be interesting to see steam locomotives or unusual diesel locomotives like CF7's running into the park
