I have a new question about a different N-scale flatcar in Southern Pacific livery. This time, I'm talking about Red Caboose's N-scale 42-foot fish-belly flatcar. Ever since Red Caboose went out of business, the only information about these specific cars is at Trovestar, and it's not very good. The pages don't give good information about both the two-pack and the six-pack of cars, particularly in terms of the numbers of each individual car. The photos also don't help since they're just blurry and so don't reveal any information on the cars' building dates and (if necessary) rebuilding dates. If any better-quality photos of these model flatcars exist out there, then I'd like to know as soon as possible.
A quick search of InterMountain showed a list of freight cars that had been discontinued due to low buyer-interest.

They also note that the listed cars weren't necessarily permanently discontinued, but could be re-issued if buyer interest improved.

Sorry, my mistake: the list is for HO scale cars, but you should be able to find info on N scale cars, too.

The SP flatcars in question aren't mentioned there, but this is because Fox Valley (which is now part of ScaleTrains) was the group that acquired the N-scale Red Caboose tooling, from what I read on Trovestar. I couldn't find anything at the Fox Valley site.

Yeah, me neither...all that was shown was 8 boxcars, one open hopper and a bay window caboose - no flatcars in sight.
