Over what period of years did the Long Island RR use the "World's Fair" paint scheme? Is it just reefer orange and reefer gray?
I lived there during the World's Fair time frame and I don't remember any special paint jobs. Of course, I lived on the south shore of Long Island, and all we had was gray electrified coaches. I might see a freight once every couple of years.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Some 30 MP75 Zip cars had tall lettering along the flanks proclaiming "Your Steel Thruway to the Fair Gateway". Some Worcester cars were painted in the "Fair" scheme as well.
The cars were built in 1963 and from what I gather were delivered with the slogan painted on their dark gray sides. Photos I have in an article show the World's Fair paint and lettering still on the cars in September of 1965. Another photo dated February, 1966 shows the Fair slogans had been painted over by then.

Additionally some cars in this period were lettered "Ride The LONG ISLAND travel easy" on the letterboard above the windows. This was retained after the World's Fair lettering was obliterated.
Good Luck, Ed
Always worthwhile to check the Trains Are Fun website for LIRR historical maps and images, including Worlds Fair paint schemes. (Maybe a few more images than you might want, but rather interesting).

The Fair ran for two seasons, in 1964 and 1965.
