They say that they "upgraded" the cab, that must mean DCC and LED lighting was installed Wink

Hats off the NS for recognizing their heritage! Ed

I think it is pretty cool that the NS has come out with its huge fleet of heritage units. The UP tried it with its attempt, but none of the schemes were what they were in reality.

I ws thinking that same thing last night, lying in bed.  And I like both concepts.  The E-L paintjob looks GREAT.  As it did, back in the day.  And it will be wonderful to have it on the rails again.

But I also think the UP versions are gorgeous.  They could have been pretty lame, but they surely aren't.  To me.

Some original paint jobs weren't that great to begin with.  To me. N&W (diesel) comes to mind.  It also takes a good bit of talent to come up with a "new" old paint scheme that looks good.  No bad ones come to mind.  Right now.

Ed - Its been a while - darn good to see you! Thanks for posting a pic of such a fine speciman.

Finally! Someone actually figured out what the definition of "Heritage Unit" really means. Am quite shocked it was NS that did this, very shocked! Who knew they were capable of this??

My only response is... it looks sooo good, and being that its NS..... you KNOW they asked a railfan for the color scheme!!

Keep the good stuff coming Ed!
