There are photos of C&NW gons with bulkheads in the "Final Freight Car" roster book published by the C&NW Historical Society. Since pulpwood was a major commodity for the C&NW at one time, that may well have been the purpose for those cars.

Does any one know if any Union Pacific or Chicago Northwestern had bulkheads? Thanks for the help.
I love the smell of ALCo smoke in the Morning. "Long live the 251!!!" I miss the GBW and my favorite uncle is Uncle Pete. Uncle Pete eats Space Noodles for breakfast.
