Trackplan help
Posted by kmregan45 on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 9:05 AM

Hello everyone,

I am currently designing my next layout and some help/input.  I have approximately 12'x10' available (initially), and need to access one corner of the area for the electrical box.  I have adapted a John Allen design and have posted some pics below.  I would like to have continuous running available, but would be happy to have point-to-point off of either side.  Please take a look and let me know what you think.  Thanks!

it looks neat but you're going to have some serious access problems with no way to reach areas of track in the corners

Looks very similar to my layout trackplan.. I have similar reach issues.  while mine has walls on three sides, it is part of a larger room so I put the entire layout on wheels and I can pull it out, if needed.

What program did you use to layout the trackwork?

Thanks!

Ditto the Access problem. If you don't solve that problem, your layout will be short-lived.

I used El Dorado Software's 3rd PlanIt.  It's a great program.
