Yard lighting ?

I am looking to add some yard lighting. I found the Minatronics units:

Has anyone use them and have any comments ? Or are there other types of yard or construction site types of lighting folks have used ?

I've got some of the Brawa units (for some reason, they're in the Signals section of the Walthers Catalog, rather than the Lighting area). http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/186-5860

There are several variants, but the main reason I got them is they all fit the same socket, and thus are removable -- they just lift out. Very handy when cleaning or working on the area. I've had them for a couple of years, with no trouble at all.

I saw those. They are pricey. Almost twice any competitors. I ordered a couple of the Minatronics units today from Walthers. I'll see how they do. I'll keep these in mind.

Those NJ International ones look familiar. In fact I KNOW I have some of those things from YEARS ago, only it was a different company. A bunch were by Ideal Models I think - that water tower for one. Guess now I know what happened to that product line.

I still have some of those light towers, a two-light and a 4-light model. Unfortunately, a lot of the bulbs have burned out after less than 50 years. (Most of that time was in boxes, and about half of them are still working.) These are a really weird bulb, though, and I haven't been able to find them. They are about 3/16 th of an inch across and have a flat face, shaped kind of like a very small Hershey's Kiss. Any suggestions on possible replacements would be appreciated. I'd replace them all, so exact compatability isn't important. I think LEDs might throw too tight a beam, so I'm looking more at incandescents.

Hi i am Mini a new costmer i say if you had loads of forks going in to the yard the blue,red and green lights blue for revrese,green for go and last but not least the red light for stop

I have those that NJ has on thier site in the 2 and 4 light. My father replaced the bulbs years ago (and now I have to). He used grain of wheat bulbs. I believe they are pig tailed down inside the tower.
