Big Lou's Grill (pics)
Posted by Bob grech on Friday, June 9, 2006 5:20 PM
The favorite hang out of my little people is Big Lou's Grill. Old and young alike come down daily to eat Big Lou's "World Famous" hotdogs, play checkers, or just hang out. And as Big Lou says, " where else can you can have a great dog and watch the trains roll by".

Have Fun.... Bob.

Hey Bob,

Remind me what date your model is set. Just thought about the guy Fred in the clean clothes coming off shift and heading for a beer. Your layout looks to be pretty much in the period the States were dry. Or was that only some states? Or is your layout outside that era?

John:

The era /date of my layout is between 1934-1937. And although I chose a real prototype name for my railroad (The Western Pacific) it is a freelance road. Kinda what Allen McLelland did on his V&O. As a result, I am able to run a wider range of equipment than seen on the prototype, while maintaining a believable theme.

Have Fun.... Bob.

Open 24 Hours. Strange things are afoot at Big Lou's.

I would be interested in how long you have been working on your layout and how much time you spend on it, say, each week. I quess it really doesn't matter because it wouldn't change the time I could spend on mine.

Shoot for the stars; so you miss, you are only lost in space.

I had a similar thought as bush9245 - - - any beer?

Great shot of a fine model and a great scene!
