Your thoughts ?

Also, how do the seams look in terms of correct size per HO scale ?

Been looking at the various brands.

if your artistic or good at paintg you can you the AMI roadbed and cut it in half using a knife or small flat head screw drives gouge a small crack every 2 in. to make it look like pieces of cement. after you add the details and crack you can paint it various shades of grey

Yeah, thanks. I started doing them this way, but it turned into more work than I cared for :)

Good commercially available HO sidewalks are available from Smalltown USA and Evergreen Scale Models. I like the former best since they include sections with built-in details (curb, street drain, driveway). Evergreen's product comes in larger, scribed, sheets that need to be broken up into appropriate sizes. Several european manufacturers also offer sidewalks but I don't like them nearly as well as Smalltown's version.

I use 1/16th inch balsa. I scribe the concrete sections and curbs with the point of my compass. I spary paint them Floquil concrete gray and then give them a light wash of a bit of black paint mixed into rubbing alcohol. Looks great and I can cut the balsa (before scribing) to custom fit to my situation.
