MT coupler height
Posted by jkroft on Friday, May 5, 2006 9:42 PM
In a post today about Kadee coupler height adjustment, I noticed a comment about available washers to help. Does anyone know if MTs or Atlas have a similar washer to adjust n-scale coupler height?

The only washers available for MT couplers are the little plastic ones that come with the trucks.

But except for body mounted couplers on cars, and the peculiarities of mounting couplers on locomotives, coupler height is not usually a problem in N because most N scalers use talgo (truck-mounted) couplers. In this case, the issue is usually the appearance and operational characterisitcs of the car bodies riding above the trucks.
