First, Kudos to Dave for a terrific layout. Even though the"Gurus" say don't do the same thing twice you pulled it off by adding the people tunnel on the one blobinsula. I, too, love big curves and turnouts, but prefer to do them in HO scale. I would love to see a similar layout with the same 54"-60" curves done in HO. I am doing a Free-mo module with a 45 degree 72" radius curve. Remember that even a 10 degree prototype curve would scale to 88" radius in HO! This is the minimum on one modular group's presentations, and the realism is awesome!
