For some reason that I do not know you have to "draw" a straight or curved track before any of the premade pieces will stick. They will stay after you delete the first drawn piece and you can build from there. Also you can change the sticking point by right clicking on the layout then choosing More===>turnouts==> find the piece you want then click on the part of the track that you want to have stick (a little black box will cover that part of the piece). This software takes a little getting used to but after you play with it a little you can do quite alot with it. I have been playing with it the last few days and have come up with a couple nice layouts. Look for my other post here to see one that I am asking opinions on.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

If you're talking about a piece of sectional track... place it where you want it and press the spacebar to anchor it.
