Wife Shocks me Part 2
Posted by claycts on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 2:49 PM
Now I understand the "HONEY take the WHOLE BASEMENT 1800 sq ft"
She bought herself a2003 50th Anniv. Corvette Flop Top. Now I understand the goodies I have gotten for the trains! She works hard in our business and she did let me buy the Ferrari last year.
More importanat I AM MAKING SAWDUST, got the ceiling valance in and the 1x2 supports for the back drop. Using ROPE LIGHTS for the VLANCE low light and Track spots for the main valance lights.

When the neighbors go on vacation, let their barking dog loose, and steal his doghouse for the lumber. Two problems solved in one swoop.

Well I must say, you certainly got the better part of that deal, a whole basement AND a Ferrari, vs. a Corvette?
Although having to fix a vintage Jag may more than make up for it... [:D]

Wife wise yes. I an very fortunate to be where I am today. THANKS DAD! he started the business in 1963. WE do have fun and all these toys are nice but I admire the person who has the talent to make chicken soup out of chicken S----. I just watched for the 500th time the John Allen video now that was talent!

A Ferrari? A Corvette? Where do you put the 4x8 plywood? where do you have space for a module to take to the club? Or does the club meet at Your house, just bring tools?

Trade in the Vette. You know how many DCC equipped locos you could get for that thing? Not too mention the garage space you could use to expand your layout!

Claycts,

If you don't know what else to do with your money, why not send some of it to your fellow model railroaders who could use it ? [;)]

I do have a will which leaves the bulk of my estate to NMRA to help kids get into this hobby. The balance goes to keep our car collection open to the public.

My wife didn't shock me when she went out and bought herself a 02 Magnetic Red Vette with a tan rag. She told me up front I was going to pay for it.
