Can you ID this kit?
Posted by hbgatsf on Sunday, May 14, 2023 7:15 AM

Back in 1999 I had ordered some portals, retaining walls, and culverts not realizing how long it would be before the layout progressed to the point of needing them.  I am finally there and started to take stock of what I had.

I came across this kit:

I must have gotten it by mistake instead of a culvert because it isn't something I would have planned to use.  As you can see the paper wrap on the box is missing and while I can tell it is a plaster log cabin I can't figure out who made it.  I suspect Woodland Scenics as that is the brand culverts I ordered and the packaging is similar but I can't find anything on it.

I need to figure out if I can justify using it since it doesn't fit my era or scenery and if so how to put it together, including fabricating a roof.

Thanks

Rick

Perhaps "Guts,Gravel, and Glory". It looks similar to one that showed on their price list.

I have a model called "The Beerman's Cottage" (or something like that) from Guts Gravel And Glory. It is very similar, but the chimney is on a square wall, not a peaked wall like yours.

I am not fully familiar with all of GGG's offerings.

I used mine as a camp structure for my DBA French D'Ordnance army.
