Question about Ron Meyers Colorado-themed layout featured in October 2004 Issue
Posted by Engi1487 on Saturday, August 8, 2020 9:02 PM

My first issue of Model Railroader magazine was the October 2004 issue when I was 10 years old, featuring a picturistic view on the well known Rio Grande N scale Moffat Road layout on its front cover.

One article, as the issue was devoted to articles on painting backdrops and how the featured model railroaders did them, was one written by a Ron Meyers on how he did his. I was interested in the pictures of his layout, such as this one as shown below with a info piece about himself, showing a curve of rack going around a town on his layout.

Here is another showing the first two pictures on the intro to the article.

I have always since then wanted to find a track plan of what his layout looked like, and where the town and station depot was on it. I cant seem to find anything of his name or work in the Model railroader magazine archives, and this seems to be the only info on him and his layout.

Any idea if there is more on his work and if there is a track plan of his colorado themed HO scale layout?
