3026 bachman bascule bridge operation
Posted by jfb on Saturday, January 23, 2016 8:41 PM

I have the instructions but it shows a dc connection and a switch and i do not have the switch. I was wondering if a connection off a atlas 215 connector that is dc powered could operate it. This is going over the calumet river in south chicago with boats under it. hooking up to the main power point is easily understood and i bought this unopened at a swap meet and now there pricey. I have 1 more thing to add is the power  hook up points on the side of this bridge the automatic switch?

Just in case of no answer, join the Bachmann forums and ask. There are company reps there.

I would assume since it is DC powered, your suggestion would work.

Edit.

This was a tough one. Might be ok. Download the picture.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

I see you are in the Bachmann forums. All you need is a Atlas SWITCH CONTROL BOX 0056. This is a DPDT spring loaded switch so you don't leave the switch in one direction or the other. The motors operate off of 12 vdc.
