New Layout - second try
Posted by ROCK MILW on Friday, December 4, 2015 10:44 AM

Thanks for the photo uploading advice, folks.  Sorry for the mistake the first time 'round.  Here are some images from the layout I am currently constructing.  I'm using L-girder framing with 3/4" plywood subroadbed.  I designed the layout on 40" by 40" graph paper at 1:4 scale, then had it blown up to full scale and printed in pieces.  I then cut out the track as templates and glued them to the plywood with PVA glue, and cut them out with a jigsaw.  Next up is the beginning of tracklaying.

Looks pretty good! The only thing I am wondering about at this point is the reach in distance to the back of the left loop.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

Looks fun, but I agree with Dave. Make sure you leave a way to access that far corner!
