Thoughts on a double-tracked n-scale bridge
Posted by nik_n_dad on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 6:29 PM

We're expanding the layout and would like to add an "impressive" bridge feature over a canyon or such (still in the "thinking about options stage, but running out of time).

We'd like to use some something like the micro engineering  bridges, but we need to be double tracked.  (remember, we're expanding on something that's already there)  i don't think there's a way to do this with the micro engineering bridges.  Any suggestions (we're expanding on a layout that uses kato unitrack for the most part, and it has a lot of double-track on it.

Not wedded to the micro engineering bridge, just like the looks.

Thanks for any ideas or recommendations

Just a thought -- The cover to Robert Schleicher's N Scale Model Railroading shows two bridges, slightly offset, and side by side, effectively providing the equivalent of a double-track bridge -- with an unexpected scenic touch.  Amazon has a larger cover picture.  This would be (2) single track double truss bridges using Kato Unitrack.

Conemaugh Road & Traction circa 1956
