I too have many of these issues with my layout but I plan to fix many of them. Before you start over ask yourself: can I do better the next time, or are my skills and knowledge still the same?

I think I have most of those points on my layout that I started last October - except for #1 - it is not finished and I have a staging yard to add - once my carpenter has time to help me. And I have a major background to put up.
I have a house that I want to purchase and put together and find a place for - but I can not find a place that would work - but I might be able to put it in the staging area.
OK, I admit it. I can no longer restrain myself with these love/hate threads.
I hate my layout, and here is why.
10. It has taken me 10 years to make ny track work bullet proof, and I am still not completely there.
9. My long runs of mainline track are not laser straight, far from it.
8. My landscaping looks amateurish.
7. My ballasting looks somewhat sloppy.
6. My wiring resembles an explosion in a sphagetti factory.
5. My freelance efforts should have more closely reflected the prototype.
4. Not all parts of my layout are readily accessible.
3. I should have provided for staging.
2. I no longer have space on my layout to do "this and that".
1. Now that my layout is completed, I am bored. Is it time to tear it down?
Now, be nice to me. I am extremely sensitive.
