Swifter Containers- Frugal Modeling
Posted by cedarwoodron on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 11:38 AM
I have collected several Swifter cleaning pad containers- both the shallow and deep types, to use for paint removal tasks. The size of these containers handles most all types of model shell lengths, and I use the different depth containers, depending on the dimensions of a particular shell. Whether using a biodegradable solution, such as Super Clean (purple stuff), or 91% alcohol, the length and width of these containers are well-suited to the job. Each container also has raised platforms on the bottom, so paint particles in the dissolving solution can settle below the shell's surface. Use the plastic top- it keeps whatever solution you use from evaporating. Cleanup is easy with dish soap and warm water. I have been using mine for over 2 yrs now. Cedarwoodron

I've used several of these for storage.  The ones with the clear covers are really nice, as you can see what's inside, without opening them.

Suggested alternative use items always welcome.

Thanks.

My wife uses Swifter cleaning stuff and it works for her.  There was another product, a mop with replaceable head and didn't work at all for her so she threw it away.  I rescued the replacement mop head..
