Has anyone had any experience with NJ's, " Phol Low #2918" (modern) and " Low Ramapo # 2914"  ?  Their website does not say much except that they are operating.  Do they mean lit and or operating ground throw or both? They say handle is fixed but operates???   Looking these up on a few  retailers sites does not help either.  No information except  price.  I have interest in these for some branch lines etc.  Doug

Doug,

I do not have NJ's,,,,but from the description you provided,,more than likely, they are not lit,,,they probably have tiny jewels in the lantern, red and green..Handle,being fixed, means that you can not throw them by hand,,but you can attach them to the throw bar,so when the switch machine, throws the points,it also rotates the shaft, that the lantern is attached to,,,thus, green Jewel, showing for straight points set and red shown, for diverging points set..All the ones that I have seen, from your description, work that way..

Hope that helps,

Cheers,

Frank
