Track compatible with Fastrack
Posted by Mchavez215 on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 4:38 PM

I'm modeling in O-scale with Fastrack and have a bridge over which I need track compatible with Fastrack but without the "ballast" (ties & rails only).  Any ideas?  (Hope I have the correct forum).  Thanks.  Mark

I believe there are adapter-tracks that allow Lionel Fastrack to connect up to several different kinds of track, including Lionel tubular track. There may be an adapter for Atlas three-rail track too, but not sure if Lionel makes it, or Atlas??

BTW you might get more (and better!) answers over on the Classic Toy Trains magazine forum, the MR forums are primarily for two-railers.

Lionel makes a Fastrack adapter piece that will mate with traditional 3-rail tubular tracks. Atlas also makes adapter pins that will mate its solid track to the traditional tubular.

Thanks.  I added the post to Classic Trains forum.

I hope you mean Classic TOY Trains forum.  The Classic Trains guys get miffed all the time because three-rail newbies post there with questions about Lionel or whatever thinking they are in the right place.

Lionel offers a track section that allows you to connect Fastrack to tubular track.
