In this picture, is that a duck-under or a left-out in the forground? And again in the rear in front of the sliding door?
Looks Great. I have spent the last 2 nights gluing down cork (50 pieces). I have to go to the LHS on Fri to pick up 5 more pieces then I will start cutting out cork pads for the turnouts (I recieved a large roll of cork for free). Once I get all the cork down I will try to post pictures.

Actually, they will be lift outs. I just need to get comfortable that the main line is where I really want it.
Looks great Frank, can't wait for more photos.
Great pics, looks like it'll be a great layout ;)
waiting for more progress !!
Did you find that additional joists were needed? It seens that in the first benchwork pics that you are spanning 32-42", had no rel reference. Even the best birch 1/2 ply may need at least 24" for a min. Just wouldn't want you to find that some critical areas could have the plywood sag or bulge from humidity or any excessive weight from scenery. Like I say, had no ref. to the joist seperation. I would have used 1/2" birch on 24" centers as min. A lesser grade of ply (1/2" CDX esseciall if not 4 ply fir) should be on 16 center to absolutely stay put.

Coming along very nicely.
That's quite a roundhouse.
Have fun,
Richard
Frank leave the door unlocked we're all coming over to run trains! just kidding nice looking layout.
How did you get the Track nailed/glued to the foam. I couldn't tell if you glued or nailed.

The track is nailed in the areas where the cork sits on plywood. In the areas where the cork sits on foam, I used common metal pins (1/2 long or so).
Regards,
Dude, that is a monster roundhouse. Howsabout some more pics of that?

Would you post a pic of the layout plan w/measurements - Looks real close to what I am planning - and it looks GREAT!! - Chris
