The "standard" answer is to use #14 wire for your track bus, the long line that goes out from the base station or booster.  However, you have a fairly small run.  If you put the Zephyr itself at the end of the aisle separating the two sections, then you won't have a long run of wire.  I go considerably further than that with #18 wires, and I have no problems.

I use #22 wire for my feeders.

As Mister Beasley indicated, the standard bus wires are 14 gauge wire.

I use #24 wire for the feeders and that seems to work fine, a little smaller feeder wire than #22 wire.

Go with whatever you can fine locally around a #14 for the bus and 22 for the feeders.  The best advice I heard is that you should pick wire that you can get locally so when you need more you can keep the color scheme constant without have to switch it around because you cannot get more wire.
