Scenic Accents Glue
Posted by rclanger on Thursday, September 2, 2010 11:34 AM

I have used Scenic Accents Glue for figures with success but I would like to know if anyone has used it to adhere buildings to the layout.  I would like to tack the building so it will not move, or slide, if the surface it is on is tilted.  And I would like to be able to take them off to do additional detailing etc.

Offhand, I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I'm not really sure why you'd want to do this.  If you're tipping your layout (like for moving it), you're probably better off removing the structures and packing them separately.  If you're not moving it, a tipping layout isn't really a good thing.

I glue pieces of strip wood to lhe layout on the inside dimensions of the building.  The structure slips over these, and stays put on the layout, but I can remove it at will.

if anything I would use a little dab of non hardening silicone, I do like the idea of a sub structure to fit inside and hold it in place and building a new town on the layout and just may have to borrow that idea if u don't mind

Just my 2 cents worth, I spent the rest on trains. If you choked a Smurf what color would he turn?
