A few pics of new layout in progress and testing my photos.
I'd say the pic test was a success. Layout looking to be progressing nicely.
Keep us posted.
Have fun,
I am jelous. I have not been able to even start on mine. Looks good and off to a great start.
love any kind of train
Thanks for the input; just experimenting with a little scenery; the better half wants me to finish some of the product before she approves to the rest of the basement; Shelf style 8"-16" wide 55" High.
By the way; how would I plant my trees into the wood frame. I was thinking White Putty to stick the stems into or what do other people use?
thanks again, Cary
One of the nice things about foam insulation is that you can just poke a hole in it and plant your tree. Larger trees, maybe a pin sticking out of the bottom to go in the hole..
If you had a little foam available you could make some small hills and stick them into it. If that isn't an option, how about something like Sculptamold. You could put a blob of it on the surface, pat it down to a reasonable height and various shapes. It would look like your tree was on a small rise. It would get your surface away from the absolutely flat look.
Just some thoughts.
Good luck,
