One of the nice things about foam insulation is that you can just poke a hole in it and plant your tree. Larger trees, maybe a pin sticking out of the bottom to go in the hole..
If you had a little foam available you could make some small hills and stick them into it. If that isn't an option, how about something like Sculptamold. You could put a blob of it on the surface, pat it down to a reasonable height and various shapes. It would look like your tree was on a small rise. It would get your surface away from the absolutely flat look.
Just some thoughts.
Good luck,
Thanks for the input; just experimenting with a little scenery; the better half wants me to finish some of the product before she approves to the rest of the basement; Shelf style 8"-16" wide 55" High.
By the way; how would I plant my trees into the wood frame. I was thinking White Putty to stick the stems into or what do other people use?
thanks again, Cary
