Under the Options menu item is a Colors option (last option on my version 3.1.4). The Colors option should give you various options to change colors for, including Normal Track. Mine is set to black.

Reality...an interesting concept with no successful applications, that should always be accompanied by a "Do not try this at home" warning.
Hundreds of years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...But the world may be different because I did something so bafflingly crazy that my ruins become a tourist attraction.
"Oooh...ahhhh...that's how this all starts...but then there's running...and screaming..."
You didn't do anything wrong...it's just part of the learning curve. I batteled the same issue getting started.
Well, I tried as all of you suggested and the results were thus: there is no color listed for lines, curved, straight or circles: select all won't help me place any lines as it only changes colors of things already drawn. I can do that in the describe objects dialog box: Zandoz gets my undying gratitude. The display options box showed the color layers 'other' box unchecked and when I checked it, the lines came out blue, which is the default color for layer 1. I don't remember unchecking that box. I hope it doesn't do it automatically. Too bad tutorials aren't written for us dummies. Thanks to all. Bob T (another kentuckian)
