A gravel filled hopper awaits unloading at Baxter's Building Supply Company:

From here, the gravel and sand is "trucked" to its final destination:

This a photo. If you want to see the figures move you have to go to Bob's house.

I love the way that awning sags in the middle and the little details like the track for the sliding door and al the material stacked on the platform. The sign looks awesome too. My wife just said your models look better than mine and I hate to say it but she's right. Smile [:)]

It doesn't get any better, Bob.  I hope you are happy and proud of your modeling.  If I could show images like yours.....Smile [:)]

I have lost track of your layout status.  At one point not too long ago you were thinking of starting over....or am I mistaken?  These images are from where?

The poses of the figures are in fact all extremely well suited to the "action" of the moment.  This is rarely the case with photos of models, and it adds considerably to the realism of the pictures.

Bob, you know I love your work, but honestly, you make me want to go work on my layout for hours upon hours to try to live up to this stuff, or just hang it up and never look back!

Keep up the great work!

Selector:

The answer to your question is yes, I am planning a new layout. However, these plans were put on hold until after the 2008 NMRA Convention (to be held here in So. Cal). In the meantime, I've been keeping busy sketching out several track plans. So far i've got over 20 drawn out, but have yet to decide which one to go with. One thing for sure, I'm planning an around the wall trackplan with plenty of industries along the way. One of my favorite aspects with operation is industrial switching.

Have Fun.... Bob.

Dave:

Thanks for your comments. As far as positioning my figures, I've recently submitted a "how-to" article to MR that will cover this very subject. I believe it will be featured in their next "How To Build Realistic Railroads" installments, to be subtitled "towns".

Have Fun.... Bob.

Another inspiring photo opp Bob!

So is your new layout going to be in the same era as the current layout?
