My name is Frank Joyce. I have been enjoying this great hobby and its people for almost 20 years. My HO scale, 8' x 10' urban-themed, waterfront model railroad is based on memories of growing up in The Bronx, NY. Among the features are a kit-bashed apartment building (exact replica of the one I grew up in), kit-bashed structures, elevated subway line, electrified pier, apron and carfloat for operations, archaeological dig site, bridges, tugs, and a static built-in diorama of an underground subway station, under the streets. I use interchangeable dioramas to change the appearance of the layout, and for photos I can change trains and vehicles to change the year being modeled. Mostly I keep the layout set in late Fall in the late 1950's.
