After ten years of building a medium sized layout, a downsizing move resulted in the layout being demolished. A few parts of it live on in other layouts but most of it was reduced to lumber given to the team members who help demolish it or to the dump. I the layout was set in the ever popular transition era in HO scale. Although I was not modeling a specific area or location I wanted the scenery to represent the Pacific Northwest. Most of my rolling stock was Great Northern (2/3) and Northern Pacific (1/3) with a sprinkling of Spokane Portland & Seattle. I live in Northwest Washington State.

I am now participating with a dozen or so other folks in a 70' On30 logging layout set in the early 20th century. I have no rolling stock in this scale so my efforts thus far have been in scenery, electronics, weathering, etc. I am also helping a few other modelers in the area with various aspects of their layout construction.
