From Lionel trains as a very young lad to HO in 1950. My current project, The Aiken and Suffrin Railroad, was started in the late 1990s and is housed in an enclosed carport. My interrests vary from building craftsman style kits to scenery and weathering. My railroad is free lanced, fictional and fun. Now, at age 73, I'm a bit slower with the building process and a bit more appreciative of this hobby we all anjoy.
I'm a retired US Navy officer with a bachelor degree in electronic engineering. After working at a TV studio for a few years and tiring of the constant changes in the industry, I put my knowledge of electronics to work by focusing on the marvels that our hobby makes available to us.
Although a bit of a struggle for me to be as energetic as I was years ago, I have not lost any of my interest in HO scale model railroading, all inspired by years of reading, building and sharing what little I know. Coupled with my interests in digital photography and painting in oils, together with my love for woodworking, this hobby has provided me countless hours of enjoyment and fullfillment.
