20+ years in the hobby. Huge Burlington Northern and predecessors fan. Other interests lie in Soo Line, Milwaukee, Amtrak, and North and South Dakota branchlines. Also an active railroad historian, custom painter, decaler, and detailer of HO scale locomotives and freight cars. Currently have a 22 x 10 layout in my basement based on the BN's Mandan, ND yard facilities and the Mandan-Killdeer, ND branch line. Future plans are to model accurately the BN Northern Coal Corridor from Jamestown-Fargo, ND in the style of Tony Koester (real prototype simulation) in the 1970-1980 timeframe.
