I grew up in New Hampshire, along the former Boston & Maine line between Boston and Montreal.  Watching coal trains there as a kid is where I first became interested in trains.  I now live in eastern Montana, along the former Northern Pacific.

I model modern freight and passenger operations in HO scale.  I am currently between layouts, but construction on a new one will begin shortly.

Besides railroads, my interests include bicycling, hiking, history, and travel.
