About jims trains
Was born of goodly parents, and grew up watching steam trains from our lounge room window. Purchased my first model trains at 7 years of age, an Australian outline Lima set. Added some British, and European model over the years. Have been interested in trains all my life. There must be a railroad gene in my family as my dad is very interested in trains too. Since the mid-1990s I have modelled generic American outline. Back in about 2005 I decided to try to represent a particular US region in my modelling which resulted in me building my current layout, a switching layout that is a 17 x 6 feet 'L' shape.
