favorite RR is Rock Island.  Read the book Rock Island Requiem,  Now I understand its demise.

I also read The Wreck of the Penn Central, and why it failed.  I wonder how the RR structure would look if Conrail hadn't been a made a monopoly.

I love RR history.  Doesn't matter which railroad.  They all have great stories.

I want to see dedicated HS rail corridors thru out the US.  Not the Maglev variety.
