Collecting Lionel for 30 yrs. specialized in prewar/early postwar 3 yrs ago. (I like to torture myself with sliding shoe trucks) I enjoy repairing/restoring Lionel for my use and for friends. I have a folded dogbone layout with sidings on a 5 ft X 9 ft collapsible pingpong table just to check out trains. (and, yes, I like to torture myself repairing the wiring and track). All the accessories are attached with miniature plugs to facilitate set up & take down.
